Staff Matching Scheme

The John Laing Charitable Trust matches pound for pound, generally up to £1,000 money raised by employees through their own fund-raising efforts for a charity of their choice, subject to the Trust's criteria.

Make a Difference

The ‘Make a Difference’ scheme supports charities or voluntary organisations where a member of staff, or their immediate family is actively involved.

In addition, the John Laing Charitable Trust will support existing staff or their immediate families if they have a serious problem, such as needing to adapt their house through a disability if no other alternative sources are available.

Applications are accepted from staff at any time throughout the year.

Christmas Donation

Each November for the past seven years John Laing has held a competition for staff to nominate a charity to receive a donation of £5,000 from the John Laing Charitable Trust. This is in place of the Group sending Christmas greeting cards.

The rules are simple; the charitable cause has to be one the member of staff is involved with, one which they care passionately about and where the donation of £5,000 would make a huge difference.

Christmas, 2012 saw The Legacy Rainbow House, a charity in the North West area of the United Kingdom receive the donation. The charity was nominated by staff member Neil Kenyon, General Manager Operations.

Information on previous donations can be found in Case Studies.
