Home > Corporate & social responsibility > Staff commitment Staff commitmentIn 2007, John Laing launched two schemes to encourage our staff to get fully involved in CSR activities.The first, has required every member of staff to sign up to a personal CSR objective as part of their annual appraisal. Activities range from individual effort for example, helping a charity with specialist advice, or team activities, such as planting trees at a local school. Click on the PDF below to read some examples of what our staff have achieved. The second was the launch of the Chief Executive's awards for innovation in CSR. All members of staff were invited to nominate themselves or colleagues, either as individuals or as a team to be considered for an award. Eight of categories correspond with our CSR workstreams, and there is a ninth special award for the person or group that has made the most outstanding contribution to CSR.
