Home > Corporate & social responsibility > John Laing Charitable Trust > Charitable donations Charitable donationsThe John Laing Charitable Trust (JLCT) has always tried to match its areas of donations to sectors allied to the Company’s business.More recently, the Trust has concentrated its support on charities which support the following main themes: education, community regeneration, disadvantaged young people and homelessness with a particular emphasis on day centres and their work with health-related aspects of homeless people. JLCT takes a pro-active role in seeking charities that fits the criteria. Donations range from £250 to £25,000 with up to 12 charities receiving more than £10,000. Usually, charities receive one-off donations, but a small number are supported for an agreed period, often up to three years. The budget for grants in 2007 has been set at £850,000, and a significant proportion of this has already been allocated. Click here to see some examples of how our donations are making a difference
