This project included the design, build, finance and operation (DBFO) of a 128 bed mental health facility for North Birmingham Health Trust to 2036.

The fully operational facilities are part of Birmingham Solihull Mental Health NHS Trust retained estate, which consists of a mix of standards, ages and types of property and are located in a varied and diverse geographic area.

The contract lasts for 35 years from financial close, which was in March 2002. Facilities management is provided by Amey Business Services under contract to John Laing.
 
The six new build properties provide 7000 sq metres of floor space and the 48 retained premises have 27,000 sq metres. These provide facilities for 220 inpatients as well as day cases.
