The first year of the partnership has focused on building board level understanding and commitment around the principles of sustainable business, and what leadership might look like for John Laing. Of course, this is just the start of a journey and the next steps will be to transfer this learning into action on the ground - but we have been really encouraged by the willingness of the Board to accept and tackle issues like climate change and carbon management. We look forward to working with them in identifying and delivering practical business solutions to the environmental and social challenges that they face today.
