The contract involved the decant of most staff to three London buildings and the one million square foot Main Building has been converted to a predominately open plan workspace that houses 3,200 staff in place of the previous 2,600. The design also included the restoration of the Pillared Hall to its original art deco splendour. This now provides a popular informal meeting space which provides an effective contribution to the desired culture change.

The key supply chain members for the project were Skanska UK for construction, HOK International for design and Amey Business Services Limited for procuring and managing on-going hard and soft services, including catering, maintenance, business services, conference services and a helpdesk.
