John Laing has appointed Christian Tyson as the company’s Director for Education Projects.
Tyson will be responsible for bidding and securing projects within the education sector, including the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme.Tyson joins from Taylor Woodrow where he was BSF Director. His previous roles include Director of Infrastructure Finance at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein.
In his new role, Christian will be working within John Laing Social Infrastructure (formerly Equion). John Laing’s portfolio includes 68 education projects. The company is currently actively bidding for BSF work as well as PFI/PPP opportunities throughout the UK, Ireland and overseas.
Commenting on BSF, Christian said; “I’m extremely positive about the BSF programme. BSF requires effective long-term operational partnerships between the public and private sectors and this is something John Laing is extremely adept at undertaking.”
