The London Borough of Lambeth has today announced the Regenter Myatts Field North Consortium, comprising Regenter, Higgins Construction, Equipe Regeneration, Pinnacle PSG and Scottish and Southern Energy, as preferred bidder for the Lambeth Myatts Field North Housing PFI project. The total value of the project is £150 million.

Skanska and John Laing today announce that their 50/50 Skanska Laing Consortium has achieved Financial Close on the Surrey Street Lighting PFI scheme. This follows the Consortium’s appointment as Preferred Bidder in July this year.

Oldham Council has confirmed the Inspiral consortium as Preferred Bidder for its £130 million Gateways to Oldham housing and regeneration project. Inspiral comprises Regenter, Great Places Housing Group and Rok.

Skanska and John Laing under a 50/50 consortium, today announce they have been appointed Preferred Bidder for the £74 million Surrey Street Lighting PFI scheme. For Skanska, this contract marks the entrance to a new PFI market in the UK, while John Laing has existing contracts with Walsall, Wakefield and Manchester.

Work has started on the first phase of an ambitious £1billion plus scheme which will transform secondary and special education in Barnsley. Barnsley’s Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme has reached financial close for the first phase of the programme forming a Local Education Business Partnership with its private sector partner Barnsley Partnership for Learning (BP4L), a joint venture between Laing O’Rourke and John Laing.

Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority (GMWDA) today announced that it has signed a 25 year Private Finance Initiative waste and recycling contract with Viridor Laing (Greater Manchester) Limited. Today's deal will trigger a £640 million construction programme, creating a network of state-of-the-art recycling facilities over the next 5 years.

ohn Laing, in a consortium with HCC, a construction and infrastructure development company and Sadbhav Engineering Ltd has been announced as preferred bidder by National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) to construct the 96.5 km six-lane highway from Maharashtra-Madhya Pradesh Border to Dhule.
