Skanska-Laing Consortium reaches Financial Close for Croydon & Lewisham Street Lighting PFI Project. Skanska and John Laing will each invest £4.5 million, and Skanska will receive a construction contract worth £74 million, which will be included in the Skanska order bookings for the second quarter of 2011.
Agility Trains confirms Intercity Express Programme contract

Agility Trains Ltd. today announced that it is delighted by the Department for Transport’s decision to proceed with the Intercity Express Programme (IEP) with Agility Trains, subject to financial close. Under the IEP Agility Trains will deliver train services to Train Operating Companies at a fixed price for approximately 30 years using the IEP family of trains. Agility Trains is a consortium comprising Hitachi Limited and John Laing plc.
Skanska-Laing announced Preferred Bidder for streetlighting project

Skanska and John Laing, under a 50/50 consortium, have today announced that they have been appointed Preferred Bidder for the Croydon & Lewisham Street Lighting PFI project. This is the second street lighting PFI that the consortium is involved in following financial close of the Surrey Street Lighting project at the end of 2009.
CCURV signs building contract with Wates Construction for Waddon scheme

Croydon Council Urban Regeneration Vehicle (CCURV) has signed a building contract with Wates Construction to deliver the Waddon Leisure and Social Housing scheme. CCURV is a 25 year joint venture between John Laing and Croydon Council.
