John Laing and Infinergy achieve FC on onshore wind farm in Pembrokeshire

Wear Point Wind Ltd, a consortium consisting of John Laing and wind developers Infinergy has achieved financial close on the 8.2MW Wear Point Wind Farm near Milford Haven in Pembrokeshire. John Laing and Infinergy own an 80% and a 20% share in the facility respectively.

Following the announcement in May of the Acorn consortium as the preferred bidder, M&G Investments with SMBC and the European Investment Bank have now been appointed as preferred funders of Alder Hey’s new hospital. This follows an extensive funding competition by Acorn (John Laing, Laing O’Rourke and Interserve).

Regenter Myatts Field North consortium wins Best Scheme award

The Regenter Myatts Field North consortium comprising Regenter, Higgins Construction, Rydon Maintenance, Pinnacle PSG and E.ON has received the award for Best Scheme in Planning at the Affordable Home Ownership Awards 2012 for its work on the regeneration of Myatts Field North, Lambeth.

 John Laing, as part of the SecureFuture consortium has signed a contract to build and operate the new prison at Wiri, South Auckland.  The new public-private partnership (PPP) facility will be designed, financed, built, operated and maintained by the consortium on behalf of the New Zealand Department of Corrections and will focus on rehabilitation and making communities safer.

Agility Trains and DfT reach financial close on IEP

The UK Department for Transport (DfT) and Agility Trains (comprising Hitachi Rail Europe and John Laing Investments) today signed the contract for the DfT’s Intercity Express Programme (IEP) and confirmed financial close for Phase 1 of the project.

Acorn consortium formally awarded Alder Hey project in Liverpool

The Acorn consortium, comprising John Laing, Laing O'Rourke and Interserve, will formerly today be announced by Andrew Lansley, Secertary of State as Preferred Bidder to redevelop the Alder Hey children's hospital in Liverpool. The announcement follows approval of the project by the Department of Health and HM Treasury.
