John Laing selected preferred bidder for the New Generation Rollingstock project in Queensland, Australia

John Laing, the specialist investor and manager of infrastructure assets, has been selected Preferred Bidder, as part of a consortium led by Bombardier Transportation, a global leader in rail technology, to deliver the New Generation Rollingstock (NGR) project in Queensland, Australia. The appointment, which was made by the Queensland Government, further enhances John Laing’s strategy of growing its portfolio of investments in the Asia Pacific market. 
 

John Laing acquires onshore wind project in Yorkshire

John Laing, the specialist investor and manager of infrastructure assets, has completed the purchase of Hall Farm wind farm, an operational onshore facility based in the rural community of Routh, near Beverley, East Riding of Yorlkshire, further enhancing its strategy to grow its portfolio of investments in the onshore wind sector.

John Laing, the specialist investor in and manager of infrastructure assets, has completed the refinancing of the Carscreugh onshore wind farm. The project located in Dumfries and Galloway, South West Scotland was acquired by John Laing from Gamesa Energia S.A.U in June 2013 and is already in construction.

John Laing, the specialist investor in and manager of infrastructure assets, has achieved financial close on the Burton Wold onshore wind farm situated near Kettering, Northamptonshire. John Laing is 100% investor in the facility after working with developer First Renewable Ltd to acquire the project from the landlord shareholders in June.

John Laing forms JV with CUH NHS Foundation Trust to deliver Forum development

John Laing has formed a joint venture with Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH) to deliver the Forum development on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus (CBC). With the joint venture formed and commercial close achieved, the partners are now working to finalise the funding and operational plan for the project, and secure planning permission.

John Laing acquires onshore wind project in Northamptonshire

John Laing, the specialist investor and manager of infrastructure assets, has completed the purchase of a 14.4MW wind farm to be constructed near Kettering in Northamptonshire. The asset was acquired from First Renewable, who will remain responsible for the delivery of the project through to operational completion. On completion, the asset will be held by John Laing as part of its renewable energy portfolio.

Today the I-4 Ultimate Project advanced closer to becoming reality with the announcement by Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) of a select number of teams - including North Magnolia Avenue-based “I-4 Mobility Partners”, a consortium comprising John Laing and Skanska Infrastructure Development as joint equity partners and developers - qualified to submit a detailed proposal for this approximate $2 billion managed lane project which will significantly reduce congestion and provide added capacity along a 21 miles of Interstate 4.
