Local Authority Regeneration Projects

We offer long-term partnerships and innovative development solutions to local authorities. Our approach is to rationalise property portfolios, release net and land value thus ensuring local authorities play a lead role in local regeneration and provide new civic facilities. We generate bespoke proposals, often involving strategic partners such as Gladedale and other sectors within John Laing, to meet local authorities’ accommodation needs and regeneration objectives.

In 2007 John Laing Projects & Developments (JLPD) and Gladedale were appointed preferred Development Partner to Tunbridge Wells Council. JLPD, working with Gladedale was shortly listed for the Croydon Council Urban Regeneration Vehicle (we anticipate an announcement of preferred Development Partner in April 2008). We are building on these early successes through targeted business development activities, and actively engaging and maintaining strong relationships with local authorities and their advisers at an early stage in the project to ensure that our offer remains relevant to the market.
