This project is part of an initiative by the London Boroughs of Newham and Enfield to jointly procure PFI schools.  It involved the design, build, finance and operation of four new schools, one in Newham and three in Enfield.

The project was the first of its kind to be bid with another authority.  The consortium bid the scheme as a single project and the public sector benefitted from the economies of scale this approach offered.  The consortium's experience of working together, closing and delivering PFI projects offered a major advantage to the project, as the contracts were signed just 25 weeks after selection as preferred bidder.
