Coleshill Parkway

Coleshill Parkway is a new, modern fully staffed train station, which officially opened in September 2007.  It is served by a direct service to Birmingham New Street in around 12 minutes and facilitates travel to Nuneaton, Leicester and Stansted Airport.

The scheme is developed and managed by John Laing in conjunction with Carillion plc, Warwickshire County Council, North Warwickshire Borough Council and Mott Macdonald.  John Laing is project managing and investing in the project for 20 years.

The scheme involves the construction of a combined rail and road scheme, with a road bridge for buses and a new railway station and bus interchange.  The station is between Nuneaton and Birmingham New Street and is served by train services on the New Cross Country franchise, which is operated by Arriva.

Parking for up to 200 cars is provided as part of the scheme and it is expected that there will be a throughput of about 180,000 passengers each year.

Financial close for the project was reached on 10 March 2006.  John Laing Integrated Services is providing the facilities management which includes a fully comprehensive maintenance package (preventative, reactive, lifecycle) for all non-structural maintenance, repairs and renewals.

This is the second railway station project delivered through a partnership of Warwickshire County Council and John Laing, the first being Warwick Parkway.
