Laing

The UK waste management sector is an exciting growth area for John Laing and the future pipeline for this sector is very significant, driven by the need to meet EU waste reduction targets in the coming years. Our commercial structuring, technical, and property related skills and experience are being applied with our partner's strong sector capabilities, to continue to deliver competitive proposals.

To date, our portfolio comprises the Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Management (GMWDA) project, which is being delivered in partnership with Viridor Waste Management, as well as two operational projects with Shanks Waste Management Ltd. GMWDA is currently in the construction phase and will create a network of state-of-the-art recycling facilities over a 5 year period.
