John Laing is a member of the Associated Parliamentary Corporate Reponsibility Group whose purpose is to promote debate and understanding of corporate social responsibility within Parliament. It seeks to achieve this by promoting an exchange of views between Parliamentarians and people with an active interest in corporateresponsibility. David Micciche, Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability Director attends the meetings on behalf of John Laing.

As well as being a member of RoSPA, John Laing has recently been awarded Gold which is a reflection of the management system we operate, our employee engagement and our accident/incident rate.

Business in the Community (BITC) has more than 850 companies in its membership, John Laing has supported this unique movement since its inception 26 years ago. Our commitment to improving our positive impact on society has received great recognition includingobtaining the Silver Big Tick Award for the Company's continued support of Trafford Hall, attainment of the CommunityMark and aGold award in the BITC Index 2009.

As patrons of the CBSLG and consequently the Get into Construction Scheme, John Laing looks to consistently engage its employees with the work of the Trust. In recognition of this the Prince's Trustmade an Award for our vital work for the CBSLG during 2008. This award was given partly in recognition of the many ways John Laing employees get involved with the activities of the Prince's Trust.
