The CommunityMark is a national standard of excellence in community investment, which was first launched in 2008 and endorsed by Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, and HRH Prince of Wales. To achieve the CommunityMark companies are assessed according to five principles of community investment. These include identifying the social issues that are most relevant to the business and surrounding communities, working in partnership with the community, investment in the community, inspiring and engaging employees, and evaluation.
