John Laing further strengthens US & Canada team with series of appointments

John Laing Group ("John Laing" or the “Group”), a leading international investor and active manager of core infrastructure assets, today announced a series of appointments to further strengthen its team in the US and Canada.

Kara Vague has joined as a Director, Asset Management, based in New York. Kara has worked in strategic, commercial and governance roles in infrastructure over the last 15 years and has extensive public-private partnership experience across transportation, health, education and defence. She was most recently at Fortescue Future Industries, a renewable energy and green hydrogen developer in Western Australia. Kara previously worked as a lawyer on Australian public-private partnerships including Sydney Metro and the Royal Children’s Hospital. She has a Master’s in Construction Law from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Laws from Bond University.

Richard Kim will join as an Associate Director, based in Toronto, Canada. He was previously a Director in Real Assets & Structured Finance at HSBC and prior to that worked for National Bank Financial and Macquarie. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting and Finance from the Schulich School of Business, York University.

In addition, Jasper Kienhuis has transferred to New York from our London office as a Director in our Mid-Market Core Businesses unit and Adam Isenberg has transferred to Los Angeles from our London office as an Associate.
