We are at the forefront of rail infrastructure and station development, and seek to create regeneration opportunities , which help to fund new, state-of-the-art facilities.
Warwick Parkway was the first station on the UK rail network not to have been delivered by Network Rail or its predecessors. Undertaken in partnership with Warwickshire County Council (WCC), the ‘Park and Ride' station opened in 2000 and quickly brought benefits to the local community, easing congestion on the local roads caused by a shortage of parking at Leamington and Warwick stations and providing quicker links to London for local businesses.
This capability is now being deployed by John Laing in the wider rail sector both in the UK and overseas, most notably for the Intercity Express Programme, which will provide new rolling stock in the form of “Super Express trains” (initially) to serve the Great West Mainline and (subsequently) other lines in the UK, and also the Denver Eagle P3 project in the United States and the New Generation Rollingstock (NGR) project in Brisbane, Australia..
