John Laing expands US investment team with senior M&A hires

John Laing Group ("John Laing"), a leading international investor and active manager of core infrastructure assets, today announce the appointment of two senior M&A experts to its US investment team, demonstrating the company's commitment to growth in North America.

Scott Robinson has joined as a Managing Director. With 20 years of experience in both buy-side and sell-side roles focusing on real assets and infrastructure, Scott has a deep understanding of the infrastructure sector. He began his career at JP Morgan in Real Estate M&A, later moving to JP Morgan's Power, Energy & Infrastructure Group. Scott’s principal infrastructure investing experience includes roles at AMP Capital Investors and, most recently, as Senior Principal at Sidewalk Infrastructure Partners.

Naseh Kausar joins as a Director, bringing over a decade of M&A experience in acquiring investments across sectors such as transportation, energy, and power. Prior to this role, Naseh served as Principal in Infrastructure Investments at QIC Limited.

Both Scott and Naseh will be based in the John Laing New York office and will report to Anthony Phillips, Global Head of PPP and Head of Americas.

These strategic hires come at a time of significant growth for John Laing in new sectors across North America, marked by the recent completion of acquiring equity interests in Pioneer Transmission and the Centre Hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal PPP project.  John Laing has also increased its commitment to the I-75 Modernisation Project in Michigan, taking its stake to 100% and is poised to further expand its presence across North America, supported by a strong pipeline of diverse projects and investment opportunities.
