In response to the devastating fires affecting large parts of Australia, The John Laing Charitable Trust and John Laing together pledge $250,000 to supporting relief efforts for regional communities.

Justin Bailey, Regional Managing Director, Asia Pacific Region said, “It’s heartbreaking to watch the impact of the bushfires on so many Australian communities. The loss of life, wildlife and property is devastating, and our thanks go out to the hard-working emergency services and charitable organisations on the front-line. As an investor, community partner and employer in regional NSW, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania, we understand the lasting impacts these events can have on communities. John Laing and the John Laing Charitable Trust has pledged a contribution of $125,000 towards Red Cross immediate disaster relief efforts, and $125,000 to support long-term efforts of regional fire services to combat fire risks in the future.”

Olivier Brousse, CEO, said, “As the world watches the devastation caused by these fires unfold in parts of Australia, our thoughts are with everyone affected by the scale of what is happening. John Laing has employees and partners working in local projects and offices, and we are doing all we can to support them, alongside a donation, supported by the John Laing Charitable Trust, towards the incredible work the emergency services and relief workers are doing. As well as tackling the urgency of the situation today, the scale of the recovery will be enormous and we will continue to help in the coming weeks and months ahead as the country begins to recover.”
