University of Brighton Student Accommodation, UK
The project is for the provision of new student accommodation and associated facilities at the University of Brighton Moulescoomb campus. Construction was completed in September 2021. The accommodation comprises 804 student bedrooms including 102 kitchen / shared living areas, a student union and gymnasium across five towers between nine and 18 storeys in height.
John Laing is the co-developer and majority equity sponsor and managed the negotiation of all commercial agreements.
Bouygues is a key partner in the project, with Bouygues Construction UK as the contractor, Bouygues Energies & Services providing facilities management under a 50-year concession agreement along with financial and company administration services to the special purpose vehicle established to deliver the project.
