In December 2022, John Laing Group acquired Towercom, Ireland’s leading independent telecommunications tower company, as part of a portfolio of three assets from AMP Capital (now Infrabridge). The acquisition completed in June 2023.

Towercom has a nationwide portfolio of 409 towers, with over half of the sites due to be upgraded or redeveloped over the next 10 years as part of an ongoing improvement programme. The company has a well-diversified customer base of major mobile network operators committed under long-term inflation-linked contracts.
